Poor Richard's Almanack was a yearly almanac published by Benjamin Franklin under the pseudonym "Richard Saunders." It was first published in 1732 and continued for 25 years. The almanac was known for its witty aphorisms, practical advice, weather forecasts, and general information that was useful to the average colonial American.

Some of the famous sayings from Poor Richard's Almanack include:

  • "Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise."

  • "A penny saved is a penny earned."

  • "Three may keep a secret, if two of them are dead."

Franklin's almanac was not only popular for its practical content but also for its humor and wisdom, which have left a lasting legacy in American culture.
